Random teams from your player list

Random Teams shuffles the participant list to create teams. Use it before a gathering or a casual team game.

How to create random teams

  1. Enter the names of at least 2 players.
  2. Choose the number of teams to suit your group size.
  3. Press “Divide teams!” and check each team's members.

Team assignments with small size differences

Random Teams shuffles the list and assigns people to your chosen number of teams. Choose 2 to 4 teams, up to the number of participants. Team sizes differ by no more than one person. If the participant count is not evenly divisible, some teams get one extra person.

Random teams and balanced skill are different

This feature does not ask about skills, ages, roles, or friendships. Similar team sizes can still put experienced people on the same team. If your activity needs balanced roles, decide beforehand whether to adjust the random result using separate criteria.

Can I use this when the number of players is not evenly divisible by the number of teams?

Team sizes differ by no more than one person, so an odd number of participants works too.
